Dutch Firm Heerema Takes 10% Stake in Jeronimo

Dutch company Heerema has bought a 10% stake in Jeronimo Martins the Portuguese retailer announced on Monday.

Jeronimo, Portugal’s second largest retailer, said in a statement that Heerema Holding Company Inc has acquired the stake through its Asteck subsidiary.

The stake was bought in an operation that did not go through the stock exchange, it said. The announcement did not state who sold the stake.
