Jupiter in talks with Candover

Edward Bonham Carter, chief executive of Jupiter Asset Management, is in talks with Candover, the London-based private equity firm, to buy out Jupiter from Commerzbank for up to €1bn (£679m).

Mr Bonham Carter and the management team at Jupiter are also thought to be talking to TA Associates, the US private equity firm.
